Drinking lots of water, eating plenty of food, and having a well-lit workspace allowed us to get through the early morning of the Hackathon.
When trying to debug code, it is always useful to slowly explain what each line of a program is doing to somebody else.
Even a simple classical oracle can have a quantum analogue that takes some ingenuity to implement.
Return to a problem later, or try tackling it from a different angle--if it appears to be very difficult after a while.
